INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF NEUROSCIENCES «JOHN ECCLES»

The school

The school of neuroscience ‘Sir John Eccles’ aims at fostering scientific exchange and education in all areas of neurosciences, from the molecular through the cellular and systemic level. The school promotes highly interdisciplinary events and explores the new frontiers of neuroscience, from understanding mechanisms (e.g., synaptic transmission, biosynthesis, genetic and epigenetic expression) to describing the neural basis of behavioural processes and higher cognitive functions. The school will discuss innovative methodological tools for exploring the brain and new treatments for neurobehavioural and psychopathological disorders. Finally, the evolutionary origins of brain morphology, anatomy and function will be part of the school’s topics in the form of advanced training courses and international workshops.
