INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF EARTH SCIENCES

The school

Earth sciences are described as the study of the origin, evolution, structure, chemistry and physics of our planet. In recent years, the scope of the subject has been expanded to include new geochemical and geophysical data from the Moon and neighbouring planets. The last decade has seen a dramatic increase in our knowledge and understanding of our planetary environment, which is why we now talk about a “revolution in geology”. The aim of the School is to provide courses that update students on the latest advances in the subjects that make up Earth Sciences. There are also plans to organise field trips to Sicily, which has perhaps the most complex geology and volcanology in Europe.
