INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF CARDIOLOGY

The school

The aim of the School is to deepen the knowledge accumulated so far on the subject of the function and non-invasive assessment of the cardiovascular system and to analyse the results obtained in the global approach to cardiac rehabilitation. The presentation will cover the different aspects of functional assessment and examine the advantages, disadvantages and risks of the various methods. It will also seek to critically evaluate the methodology of cardiac rehabilitation, secondary prevention and the controversies that still exist. Some lessons will compare conservative medical therapy with surgery in relation to rehabilitation programmes. The educational aspects of medical and paramedical staff and patients will be discussed. In addition, stress electrocardiography and the significance of stress pathology during performance will be evaluated from a prognostic point of view. The most important objective is to deepen and broaden our field of action and arouse interest in these new concepts in cardiology.
