INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF GEODESY «ANTONIO MARUSSI»

The last few decades have seen renewed interest and a profound revision of the theoretical principles and operational procedures of geodesy. This has been the result of the advent of artificial satellites, advances in electronics and space technology, the possibilities offered by modern computers in the field of numerical and algebraic computation, and the development of inertial and space navigation, together with increased knowledge of the structure, dynamics and origin of the Earth. The aim of the School is to present, in a series of advanced lectures, the frontier aspects of space-time geodesy and to offer graduate students a forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion of questions or problems with highly qualified geodesists.
