So far, the focus has been on the breeding and development of freshwater fish and saltwater fish only in the first biological phase (after which the fish would leave the fishery and return later, e.g., salmon). New developments in Japan and Israel study the entire life cycle of saltwater fish. The information is still incomplete but growing rapidly.
