All over the world, in both industrialised and less developed countries, people have become increasingly eager to consume the benefits of high technology and chemical industries. At the same time, public opinion in industrialised countries has become increasingly aware that technology, in general, and chemistry, in particular, are the means by which humanity is creating new environmental threats to global security. New biochemical technologies and innovations in instrumentation and data processing hold great promise for influencing and monitoring the cleanliness of the environment on site and ensuring that industrialisation does not lead to a deterioration of environmental quality. The International School of Innovative Technologies to Clean the Environment will focus on the use of state-of-the-art technologies for environmental cleanliness and the identification of strategies for selecting environmentally resistant sites and processes for new industrial plants. The aim of the school will be to disseminate information on available approaches to assess the risks of environmental contamination and to identify innovative physical, chemical, and biological technologies to clean up and restore the environment to a safe level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
